Using Mind Mapping to Maintain a Good Skin Care Routine
A good skin care routine is the foundation of a healthy and glowing complexion. Many people neglect this aspect of their daily regimen, resulting in them spending a lot of time and money on fixes for skin problems that could have otherwise been avoided. Yet, including an effective skin care ritual into one’s daily routine can be easier than many think; doing so requires only simple planning beforehand as to what products one will use and what skin care steps one will take. Mind Mapping is a great tool for outlining a skin care routine, because it allows users to organize information using a highly intuitive and visual spatially constructed format. With Mind Maps, one can literally “map out” his or her entire skin care routine, including where to buy required products and how often to use them, in one diagram, using colors, pictures, or other images as desired. Organizing information in this manner has been shown to allow the brain to process and recall the information more naturally, as well as allow one to work with the information more efficiently. Therefore, Mind Mapping offers those looking to step up their skin care routine a creative, fun and effective way to ensure they do what’s necessary to put their best face forward.
Creating An Effective Skin Care Routine Using Mind Mapping
Paula has decided to begin taking better care of her skin in order to avoid the all to common acne outbreaks she has been experiencing. So that she will remember to include her new routine into her daily hygiene regimen, she now decides to outline her skin care steps that she will take using Mind Mapping. Paula commences the construction of her Mind Map, which she will tape to her bathroom wall, by representing the purpose of the map, her skin care routine, in its center. She then divides her map into two parts, representing day and night, and adds branches to the map, on which she lists the various steps of her routine she will perform each morning and evening. On child branches attached to each branch, she next lists the products that she will use during each step, as well as any instructions for using them. Throughout her Mind Map, Paula uses colors, pictures, and other images to make her map more creative and her skin care routine easier to picture. When she has completed her map, it looks similar to the attached Mind Map diagram.
Beautiful Skin Thanks To A Good Skin Care Regimen and Mind Mapping
Since constructing her Mind Map, Paula has remained faithful to her newly implemented skin care regimen. As a result, her skin is beginning to show real signs of improvement and her acne outbreaks are decreasing. Following her daily routine is easy — every morning, she looks at her Mind Map that is taped to her bathroom mirror and follows the detailed steps listed. She does the same thing every evening, again using her intuitively constructed Mind Map. Paula estimates that she has now saved over 0 in the past 2 months alone since she no longer has to buy expensive acne repair creams. Thanks to her great skin care routine, and Mind Mapping, her skin is beautiful and largely acne free on its own.
